On April 23rd, together with our Scottish planning partners, Blackhall and Powis, we hosted a Public Community Meeting at the Axis Centre in Newmachar from 1pm to 7pm. The event was organised as a "drop-in" style exhibition to inform the local community about our emerging proposal for a renewable energy development, which includes the installation of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a solar array, and a substation with associated infrastructure and landscaping at the land at Dams of Craigie, Kingseat.
Prior to this, on March 21st, our team held an informal Q&A session with the Kingseat Action Group, many of whom also attended our exhibition event. Both meetings were invaluable for engaging with the local community and understanding their concerns, which included issues related to access points, wildlife protection, and noise.
We are actively working on addressing these concerns and have already begun revising our design. Additionally, we are developing a comprehensive Construction Traffic Management Plan to ensure minimal disruption.
