Lower 48 Energy has received and accepted a National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) grid connection offer to energise a 99.9 MW / 199.8 MWh BESS project. The project site is ideally located immediately next to Shrewsbury Substation which offers great savings in terms of lower cost of connection and cabling.
Lower 48 Energy has also agreed a leasing arrangement for a period of 35 years with an option to further increase by 5 years with the land owner.
Our Planning Consultants PWA Planning are currently working on Pre Planning Studies and we hope to submit a Full Planning Application in H2 of 2024.
Lower 48 Energy Shrewsbury BESS forms a part of our strategic self-origination pipeline and is expected to begin construction at the back end of this decade.
